Lead Careers are working with a growing multidisciplinary environmental consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate or Associate Director Landscape Designer to play a key role in the continued expansion of its landscape design team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Landscape Architect with a strong design background to lead projects, mentor colleagues and help shape the future direction of a growing design service. Working alongside planners, ecologists, heritage consultants and visualisation specialists, you'll lead the design of high-quality external environments across residential, regeneration and mixed-use developments, taking projects from concept through to planning and detailed design.
THE ROLE
* Leading landscape design projects from concept through to detailed design
* Producing innovative landscape proposals for residential, mixed-use and regeneration schemes.
* Preparing landscape masterplans, public realm designs and planting strategies.
* Producing planning drawings and presentation material to support planning applications.
* Working closely with architects, planners, ecologists and heritage consultants to deliver coordinated design solutions.
* Managing projects, programmes and client relationships.
* Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior landscape architects
* Assisting with fee proposals, business development and winning new work
* Helping to develop and grow the landscape design team
ABOUT YOU
* A Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
* Extensive UK landscape design consultancy experience.
* A strong portfolio demonstrating creative, technically deliverable landscape design
* Experience across residential, urban regeneration or mixed-use developments
* Excellent hand sketching, presentation and communication skills
* Strong knowledge of UK planning and design standards
* Experience managing projects and leading client meetings
* Commercial awareness and an interest in helping grow a design team
* Proficient in Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp,
* Lumion, Microsoft Office, Enscape (desirable), Revit awareness (beneficial)
