Job Description - Associate Learning and Development Business Partner

We are delighted to be working with a large education trust on the recruitment of an Associate L&D Business Partner to join their L&D team.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation as they branch out their learning into digital learning. The role would be ideal for someone with a few years experience in Learning and Development that wants to learn and develop their career and had a keen interest in digital content.

This role would report into the Learning and Development Business Partner and work alongside another Associate L&D Partner.

This role offers great developmental opportunities and the opportunity to study CIPD or L&D Qualifications.

Job Summary

  • Create, pilot, deliver, quality assure and evaluate training programmes that are aligned with the Seashell’s strategic and operational priorities.
  • Create an annual training plan, including own areas of expertise and those held within the team.
  • Partner with managers to understand L&D needs, then plan, design and deliver L&D solutions.
  • Working closely with managers and leaders across Seashell to understand their teams, their operational and strategic challenges and objectives, offering solutions where you can, or bringing back to the Learning and Development Centre of Excellence.
  • Working closely with Subject Matter Experts to co-design learning options that best meet learning outcomes and ensures consistency across all learning offerings.
  • Own L&D data sets and use these to inform conversations with the business, and with the wider team to schedule training in a way which is data-driven.  
  • Consider relevance of blended learning options such as coaching, mentoring, on-the-job training, classroom training, e-learning and simulation. Make recommendations based on which learning option would optimise learning transfer.
  • Identify and design new and different interventions, approaches and channels to enable effective learning and development across the business
  • Ensure compliance across departments.
  • Shared responsibility for Quality and Assurance, Data, Professional Qualifications,  Accreditations and Apprenticeships, Core Skills, Health and Safety and Induction.
