You will work across a varied portfolio of rural surveying instructions, providing professional advice to private clients, landowners, tenants and landlords. Alongside fee-earning responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to develop new business, build client relationships and shape the future direction of the team.

This role offers progression to Partner for the right individual, with a long-term opportunity to build and lead a substantial business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a varied caseload of rural surveying instructions, including estate management, landlord and tenant matters, valuations and compulsory purchase work.

Undertake professional valuations and provide advice in accordance with RICS standards.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, private clients and other stakeholders.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, helping to grow the existing client base and fee income.

Take responsibility for the delivery of high-quality professional work and the commercial performance of your instructions.

Contribute to the strategic growth of the business, with the potential to develop a significant team and fee-earning operation over the next five years.

Work with colleagues across the wider business, contributing to a positive and team-focused working environment.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and personable rural surveyor who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will be someone who enjoys working with people, developing business and getting involved in all aspects of the role.

You will be comfortable leading a team while remaining hands-on with your own fee-earning work. The ability to delegate, build trust and support others to develop is essential, as is a willingness to get involved in the day-to-day responsibilities of the team.

You should be commercially aware, driven to succeed and keen to build a long-term career with the opportunity to progress to Partner.

Essential Requirements

MRICS qualification.

RICS Registered Valuer status.

A minimum of five years' post-qualification experience.

Strong experience in rural surveying and estate management.

Experience across a range of rural property matters, including valuations, landlord and tenant and private client work.

Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Proven ability to be able to work as a team and lead or develop others.

A genuine interest in business development and growing a client base.

What's on Offer

Salary of approximately £60,000, with a total package of around £70,000.

Potential guaranteed bonus as part of the remuneration package.

A flexible approach to working arrangements, including hybrid working where appropriate.

A varied and interesting workload across rural surveying and property.

The opportunity to lead and develop an established team.

Genuine progression to Partner, with the potential to build a substantial business under your leadership.

A supportive, collaborative working environment where your ideas and contribution will be valued.

The Ideal Candidate

This role would suit an experienced rural surveyor who is ready to move into a leadership position, or an existing Associate Partner looking for greater flexibility, autonomy and progression.

You do not need to bring an established client book. What matters most is your ambition, commercial drive and desire to build something successful. You will be someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is willing to get involved and wants to make a real difference to the growth of the business
