Associate Planner Southampton

FutureGen Recruitment is representing a well -established
planning consultancy seeking an MRTPI Associate Planner to take a senior role
within its Southampton team.

This is a key appointment for the business, offering the
opportunity to lead strategic residential planning projects, manage important
client relationships and support the development of junior staff. The firm
advises on a wide range of residential schemes, from high -value infill
developments through to major urban extensions.

The Role

As an Associate Planner, you will combine technical planning
leadership with commercial responsibility.

Your role will include:

• Leading
  major residential planning applications and regeneration schemes
  
• Managing
  key client accounts and ensuring repeat instructions
  
• Overseeing
  Local Plan promotion strategies and site submissions
  
• Leading
  appeal submissions and supporting hearing/inquiry preparation
  
• Mentoring
  junior and mid -level planners
  
• Supporting
  fee proposals, tenders and client pitches
  
• Managing
  project budgets, timelines and consultant coordination
  

You will play a central role in shaping the success of the
Southampton team.

• MRTPI
  qualified (essential)
  
• Proven
  consultancy or developer -side planning experience
  
• Strong
  project leadership and client management skills
  
• Commercially
  minded with an interest in business development
  
• Experience
  mentoring staff and overseeing quality control
