Associate, Residential Real Estate Finance

We have over £6.5bn of assets under management, a significant amount of capital to deploy and have ambitious growth plans as we continue to expand our product set and geographic footprint. We are a rapidly growing entrepreneurial business part owned by a major real estate manager with $150bn of assets under management.

The Role:

We are looking for a talented individual to join our successful residential real estate finance team that has very significant capital available to deploy (c. £6bn over the next few years). Our current capital and focus is on the UK within the build to rent and social housing sectors, where we are major lenders. The successful candidate will be accountable for supporting all phases of the lending process, including origination, underwriting, credit approval, execution and funding. It will involve working closely with supporting teams, including loan asset management, and also supporting product development and fund-raising efforts. 

Responsibilities:

• Support the origination, structuring and negotiation of new loans
• Work on research and underwriting to evaluate investment opportunities
• Build detailed cash flow models of transactions to analyse loan and asset performance
• Analyse financial statements
• Help prepare comprehensive credit committee presentations
• Due diligence and execution on transactions
• Support new product development initiatives
• Support fundraising activities

• Possess 3-5 years’ experience
• Pro-active and self-motivated with a genuine interest in a career within residential real estate
• Critical to have excellent quantitative skills
• Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in both written and verbal presentations 
• Some familiarity loan documentation is a plus / some experience in accounting and analysing financial statements is a plus
• Desire to work in a close-knit multi-discipline and entrepreneurial team with a strong work ethic
