Associate Structural Engineer

Bennett and Game are working with a well-established and highly regarded engineering consultancy in Ipswich who are looking to appoint an Associate Structural Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking practice with a strong presence across the East of England and a growing portfolio of residential, commercial, and new build development projects, including multimillion-pound schemes. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in structural project delivery, team leadership, and client relationship management.

• Carry out structural design calculations for a range of residential and commercial projects
• Lead and manage small project teams, mentoring junior engineers and technicians
• Attend client meetings and site inspections across active project locations
• Contribute to business development activities and assist in securing new projects
• Ensure projects are delivered to technical, quality, and commercial expectations
• Liaise closely with internal design teams, external consultants, and contractors
• Work on both small-scale developments and larger high-value commercial projects

• Minimum 5 years' experience in structural engineering roles within the UK
• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proficient in structural analysis/design software including Robot and Tedds
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and design codes
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities within project environments
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Full, valid UK driving licence
• Experience working as an associate Structural Engineer or willingness to step up into the role

• Salary between £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
• 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
