The role…


We are currently recruiting an Associate Structural Engineer to join our team, in our London office.



The role will involve assisting in the provision and promotion of a professional structural engineering service to the Practice and its clients. This is a leadership position where you will oversee project delivery, manage client relationships, and support the development of our talented team. You will work on new build and refurbishment projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, low-rise housing, public buildings, and healthcare.



Please Note: This role may be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service, Baseline Personnel Security Standard, Counter Terrorist Check, Security Check, or Developed Vetting clearance.



The selected candidate will…



  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept to completion.

  • Provide technical leadership and ensure design quality across the team.

  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and manage project resources.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as a key point of contact.

  • Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and drawings.

  • Contribute to fee proposals, bids, and business development activities.

  • Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and BIM protocols.

  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.

  • Represent the practice at client meetings, site visits, and industry events.


 


Essential skills, experience, and attributes…



  • MEng or BEng in Structural or Civil Engineering.

  • Chartered Membership (IStructE or ICE).

  • Excellent communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent written English and report writing skills.

  • Proven track record managing multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Familiarity with BIM Level 2 and ISO 19650 standards.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
