Job Description - Associate Supply Chain Administrator (12-month FTC)

At OQC, we aren’t just theorising about the future; we’re building it. Born from a philosophy of bold innovation, we’ve successfully transitioned quantum computing from an academic dream into a commercial reality. The most exciting thing is that we’re just getting started.

As an Associate Supply Chain Administrator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our supply chain operations running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll ensure purchase orders, supplier coordination, and operational processes are executed with accuracy helping our teams stay on track and deliver against critical milestones.

The Role

This is a hands-on, detail-driven role supporting procurement, supplier management, finance coordination, and stores. You’ll work with a high level of autonomy, applying your knowledge to manage day-to-day processes, resolve issues, and contribute to continuous improvement across the supply chain function.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Managing end-to-end purchase order processes, including order placement, tracking, and system updates
  • Coordinating with suppliers to confirm orders, monitor deliveries, and resolve delays
  • Maintaining accurate supplier data, records, and documentation across systems (e.g. NetSuite)
  • Acting as the main contact for returns, exchanges, and supplier issue resolution
  • Supporting finance activities including payment queries, refunds, reconciliations, and PO closure
  • Handling goods-in, stock allocation, and preparing items for dispatch and deployment activities
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in an administrative, procurement, or supply chain support role
  • Experience working with purchase orders, suppliers, or finance coordination
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • High attention to detail with accurate data handling and system usage
  • Confident communicator able to work across suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues and take ownership
  • Relevant qualification in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience

 The 'Nice-to-Haves'

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite)
  • Exposure to supplier onboarding and compliance processes
  • Experience with inventory or stores management
  • Background in a fast-paced or technical environment
  • Basic data analysis and reporting skills
  • Professional certification or training in procurement (e.g. CIPS Foundation)

Why Join OQC
You will join a world-class team at the forefront of the next computational era. We offer a culture of bold innovation, the chance to work with unique lab infrastructure, and the opportunity to see your work redefine the limits of computation.
