A respected property and planning business is strengthening its planning capability in Chipping Norton. Its work is rooted in long-term relationships with landowners, estates, developers and private clients.
The opportunity
The team’s workload includes country estates, rural diversification, housing, heritage, equestrian and agricultural development. The central purpose of the position is to advise landowners and property clients across the Cotswolds and surrounding counties.
Prepare clear planning appraisals, statements and strategic advice.
Manage planning applications and coordinate technical inputs.
Maintain regular, professional communication with clients and project teams.
Negotiate constructively with local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
Review work produced by junior colleagues and support their development.
Contribute to fee proposals, client development and the commercial management of projects.
About you
Mrtpi; rural or general practice planning experience; commercially practical and client-focused. You should also be organised, dependable and able to explain planning issues in straightforward language. The business is interested in people who value good advice and long-term client relationships rather than unnecessary internal politics.
Package and working arrangements
The salary is £49,000–£61,000. The wider package includes hybrid working, pension, bonus, mileage support and paid subscriptions. Exact arrangements will depend on experience and will be discussed openly during the process.
