This strategic hire aims to bolster Our Client's consultancy capabilities in the water utility sector, focusing on asset management, investment planning, and regulatory compliance. The role is central to delivering high-quality projects that influence critical infrastructure policies and investment decisions. Key Responsibilities
Advise clients within the water sector on asset management strategies, investment options, and regulatory frameworks. Develop comprehensive business cases, perform cost-benefit analyses, and support regulatory submissions. Lead specific workstreams independently, ensuring delivery of insight-driven outcomes. Collaborate with stakeholders across industry and regulatory bodies to influence asset strategies. Assist with the preparation of reports, proposals, and presentations for senior client stakeholders. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sector regulations and market trends to inform project delivery. Essential Skills & Experience
3-8 years' experience in consultancy or utility asset planning within the water sector. Proven track record in developing business cases and conducting cost-benefit analyses. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly. Experience working with or understanding regulatory environments, preferably with insights into Ofwat or RIIO frameworks. Background in utility project delivery, asset strategy, or planning. Familiarity with tools such as Maximo, Copperleaf, or GIS is a plus. Desirable Skills & Experience
Exposure to AMP cycles and strategic planning within regulated utilities. Financial modelling expertise and experience with industry-specific software. Knowledge of governance frameworks and evidence-based decision-making processes.
This is a permanent role which can be based in either London or Bristol with 3 days per week in the office.
