Salary: £26,490.00 per annum
Hours: 39 hours per week
Contract: Fixed-Term, 6 Months – Maternity Cover
Target Housing is looking for an AST Support Worker to join our team in Grimsby on a 6-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable adults to develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to move towards more independent accommodation and achieve their personal goals.
You’ll work alongside tenants to help them sustain their accommodation, manage their finances, access benefits, develop independent living skills and overcome the challenges they may face.
At Target Housing, we believe that stable accommodation, the right support and a psychologically and trauma-informed approach can transform lives. If you’re someone who builds positive relationships, treats people with dignity and believes in empowering others rather than doing things for them, we’d love to hear from you.
About Target Housing: Target Housing is a charity and registered social landlord. For over 30 years, we have provided housing and support to people who need it most. Our approach is psychologically and trauma-informed, with a strong focus on empowerment, independence and helping people fulfil their potential. We provide high-quality housing and support that enables vulnerable people to live independently, contribute to their communities and build positive futures.
About the Role:
As an AST Support Worker, you will provide person-centred housing-related support to tenants living in Target Housing accommodation. You’ll act as a key worker for a caseload of tenants, building trusting and professional relationships and working with each person to understand their circumstances, aspirations and support needs. The ultimate aim is to help tenants develop the skills and confidence they need to sustain their accommodation and move on to greater independence.
