Position: Gravitation, Cosmology and Astrophysics Physicist (PhD)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $80–$110/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 8 to 10 weeks
Commitment: 10 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model training and improve model outputs in research-level physics challenges.
• Develop complex physics problems and solutions in your subfield for AI model evaluation.
• Review completed work and provide structured feedback to enhance training data quality.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure precision and rigor in model reasoning.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in gravitation, cosmology, astroparticle physics, or a closely related field.
• Published work on specific phenomena such as torsion, Nieh-Yan, or Chern-Simons terms.
• Verifiable publication record with arXiv IDs or DOIs.
• Proficiency in LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter.
• English at B2 or above, including written reasoning.

Preferred

• Familiarity with an agentic coding extension in VS Code.
