Attendance Officer Derby January 2026

A successful 11–18 secondary school in Derbyshire is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Attendance Officer to join its pastoral team from January 2026.

The Role

You’ll play a vital role in monitoring, improving and promoting excellent pupil attendance. Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring daily registers and following up absences promptly


• Liaising with parents/carers, pastoral leaders and external agencies


• Producing attendance reports for SLT and safeguarding teams


• Coordinating intervention meetings and attendance plans


• Maintaining accurate records in line with statutory requirements

You will work closely with Heads of Year and the safeguarding team, contributing directly to students’ wellbeing and progress.
