Attendance Officer

A thriving Secondary School in the London Borough of Greenwich is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join its pastoral support team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and student-focused individual who understands the importance of attendance in achieving positive educational outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring attendance, maintaining accurate records and supporting students and families to improve attendance and punctuality. You will work closely with pastoral leaders, parents and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and promote excellent attendance across the school.

Responsibilities include analysing attendance data, conducting first-day absence calls, coordinating attendance meetings, preparing reports and supporting intervention strategies for students with attendance concerns.

The role requires strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities and a commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
