South East London | Temporary (1-2 Months) | Potential to Become Permanent
A well-established independent school in South East London is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic AV Support Technician to join its IT and Facilities team on a temporary basis. This role will provide cover for approximately 1-2 months while a permanent recruitment process is completed, with the possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in Audio Visual (AV) support within an educational environment. Previous AV experience would be beneficial, but full training can be provided, making this an ideal entry-level or junior position.
The Role
You will be responsible for providing first-line AV support across the school, ensuring teaching spaces and events are fully equipped and operational. You will work closely with staff to resolve AV issues and support the delivery of lessons, meetings, and school events. Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line support for AV equipment across classrooms and teaching spaces. Respond to AV incidents and service requests in a timely manner. Set up and maintain audio-visual equipment for lessons, assemblies, meetings, and events. Troubleshoot and resolve basic AV hardware and software issues. Support staff in the effective use of AV technology. Assist with routine maintenance and checks of AV equipment. Escalate complex technical issues where required. Deliver excellent customer service to staff and visitors.About You
Strong customer service and communication skills. Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach. Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems. Organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. Previous AV, IT Support, Events Technology, or Technical Support experience is desirable but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to learn.Working Hours
