Job Description - Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager

Audit and Account Assistant manager – Audit 70% / Accounts 30%

Gerrards Cross

Up to £60,000 (Dependent on experience)

AJ Chambers are representing a well-established, forward-thinking accountancy and business advisory firm based in Gerrards Cross. We are seeking a motivated Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience within a practice environment and a strong desire to build a long-term career in a progressive firm.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for managing a team during various stages of engagements
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Key point of contact for clients and dealing with general queries
  • Assisting in the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of audit assignments for managers or partner review
  • Reviewing various areas of work carried out by the team
  • Carrying out ad-hoc projects as & when required within reasonable duties of your role

Ideal candidate

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified
  • Experience with managing a team of people
  • Working knowledge of auditing standards, IFRS & UK GAAP.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build positive relationships with client and colleagues
  • Proficient with auditing & account software. Knowledge of CCH would be an advantage
