I'm working with a long-established, forward-thinking accountancy firm based in central London, and they're looking for an ambitious Audit and Accounts Manager to join their growing team. The Audit and Accounts Manager Opportunity

This is not just another Audit and Accounts Manager role. You'll be stepping into a position that offers breadth, challenge, and real autonomy. You'll manage a diverse client portfolio, including businesses in renewable energy, property investment, and private equity - balancing audit, accounts, and advisory work.

As an Audit and Accounts Manager, you'll lead a team of six and support a wider group of 20 trainees. You'll be empowered to make decisions, guide your team, and build lasting relationships with clients who value trusted advice and personal service.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing a client portfolio worth around £500k, with responsibility for audits from planning to completion (around 70% of your role)
• Overseeing accounts preparation and corporation tax compliance (approximately 30%)
• Delivering strategic advice and managing complex group consolidations
• Acting as a lead contact for your clients, delivering high-quality service
• Supporting, mentoring, and developing your team of juniors and seniors
• Identifying new opportunities to expand services and contribute to business growth

What We're Looking For

• ACA or ACCA qualified with strong post-qualification experience
• A solid background in audit, accounts, and corporation tax
• Previous experience managing a broad portfolio of clients
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Experience developing and leading a team - you'll be helping shape the future of the firm
• A commercially minded and resilient Audit and Accounts Manager ready to hit the ground running
