A respected and forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join its Peterborough office. This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong leadership experience who enjoys managing people and delivering high-quality client service.

Role Responsibilities

• Managing a team at varying levels of experience.
• Overseeing the workflow of audit and accounts assignments to ensure timely delivery.
• Allocating work effectively across the team based on capacity and capability.
• Reviewing files for technical quality and compliance.
• Mentoring, training and supporting junior team members.
• Contributing to ongoing process improvement and best practice development.
• Engaging with clients and partners to ensure strong, professional communication and service delivery.
• Applying sound working knowledge of personal tax and general compliance areas.

Personal Requirements

• ACA/ACCA qualified with several years post-qualification experience.
• Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong working knowledge of audit, accounts preparation and personal tax.
• Proficient in accounting software and comfortable adopting new technology.
• Confident communicator with both internal teams and external clients.
• Organised, adaptable and commercially aware.
