Sheridan Maine is working in partnership with a respected and growing accountancy practice in Birmingham to recruit an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to gain broad client exposure, develop their technical skills, and progress within a supportive and professional firm.

The Role:
As an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior, you’ll be involved in a mix of audit and accounts preparation (more accounts) work for a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and charities.

Your responsibilities as the Audit & Accounts Semi Senior will include:

• Assist with the planning and execution of audits.
• Prepare statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP and FRS102.
• Support clients with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts as required.
• Liaise with clients directly to gather information and ensure timely delivery of work.
• Work closely with seniors, managers, and partners to develop your knowledge and technical ability.
• Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.

To be considered for the role of Audit & Accounts Semi Senior:

• Part or recently qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• A solid grounding in both audit and accounts preparation.
• Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments effectively.
• A proactive approach and a desire to build a long-term career in practice.
