Audit and Compliance Officer

Location: Radlett / St Albans

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm

About the Role

We are recruiting for a permanent Audit and Compliance Officer to join a specialist servers and storage solutions company based in the Radlett / St Albans area.

This is a hands-on compliance role for someone with at least 3 years of experience who can take ownership of audit, risk, data protection and compliance processes across the business.

The successful candidate will have experience with ISO auditing, risk registers and disaster recovery, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. This would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, wants to make a real impact and is looking to build a long-term career within a technical business.

What You’ll Do

  Carry out internal ISO audits and support the business with ongoing compliance requirements

  Maintain and manage the company risk register

  
  


• 
  

  Support disaster recovery planning, testing and documentation

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor compliance processes and identify areas for improvement

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with preparing for external audits and ensuring audit actions are completed

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate compliance records, policies and procedures

  
  


• 
  

  Support data protection requirements and help ensure appropriate processes are followed

  
  


• 
  

  Work with different departments to improve compliance awareness and processes

  
  


• 
  

  Identify potential risks and support the implementation of appropriate controls

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor corrective and preventative actions following audits

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare clear reports and documentation for management

  
  


• 
  

  Keep up to date with relevant compliance, audit and data protection requirements

  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 
  

  Minimum 3 years of experience working in a compliance role

  
  


• 
  

  Strong experience with ISO auditing

  
  


• 
  

  Experience managing and maintaining a risk register

  
  


• 
  

  Good understanding and experience of disaster recovery

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with data protection and related compliance requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Strong written and verbal communication skills

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent organisation and attention to detail

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work independently and take ownership of compliance activities

  
  


• 
  

  Confident working with different teams and stakeholders

  
  


• 
  

  ISO 27001 Internal Auditor certification would be highly advantageous
