Audit Assistant Manager

Are you an experienced Audit Senior ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to join a growing and dynamic mid-tier accountancy practice based in Liverpool.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong audit experience, ideally gained within a mid-tier or independent firm, and who enjoys working closely with SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and smaller entities across a range of sectors. As Audit Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the delivery of audit assignments from planning through to completion, leading teams on-site and building trusted relationships with clients. You'll work closely with Audit Managers and Partners, helping to oversee audit quality, coach junior staff, and ensure smooth client service.

Key Responsibilities
* Leading audit engagements across a portfolio of small to medium-sized entities
* Assisting in planning, execution, and completion stages of audit work
* Supervising, mentoring and reviewing work of junior team members
* Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
* Identifying risk and providing practical solutions to clients

About You
* ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist/equivalent
* Strong audit background, ideally from a mid-tier or independent firm
* Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
* Comfortable dealing directly with business owners and finance teams
* Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
