Your new role As Audit Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing the audit function while acting as a trusted adviser to a diverse and sophisticated client base. You will oversee large and technically complex audit engagements, ensuring high standards of service delivery and technical compliance.Your responsibilities will include:
Leading audit engagements for large, multifaceted and technically challenging clients. Analysing complex business scenarios to identify key risks, priorities and areas where strategic insight can be added. Acting as a trusted adviser to business owners, providing guidance on both commercial and personal matters. Overseeing all aspects of client engagement, ensuring work is appropriately allocated and delivered to a consistently high standard. Managing the full audit cycle including planning, budgets, resources, and timescales. Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring to audit teams, supporting individual development and performance. Supporting the wider audit leadership team in shaping best practice and driving continuous improvement.What you'll need to succeed
ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification. Excellent working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP. Proven experience managing a substantial and varied audit portfolio. Strong track record of auditing across a range of industries. Demonstrable capability in leading, coaching and motivating teams. Strong analytical ability with a commercial, solutions‑focused mindset. Professional credibility and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.What you'll get in return
