Audit Manager

Our client is a well-established and growing accountancy practice based just outside Huddersfield. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Audit Senior or Audit Manager to join a friendly, ambitious team within a firm that boasts a high-quality client portfolio ranging from small owner-managed businesses to national companies with turnovers exceeding £200 million.

This role would suit someone looking to step away from the city commute without compromising on the quality of clients or working environment. The office is based in a vibrant small town with excellent amenities and free parking.

• Plan, lead, and complete audits across a diverse client base
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering strategic and technical insight
• Manage a small team, providing mentoring and development support
• Ensure audits are completed to deadline and in line with UK GAAP and auditing standards
• Contribute to the firm's ongoing growth by identifying new opportunities and adding value through client service
• Stay informed of relevant tax and compliance issues (e.g., Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE)

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Minimum 3-5 years' post-qualification audit experience
• Confident leading audits and supervising junior staff
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Commercially aware and proactive with a strong attention to detail
• Experience with PCAS Audit Programmes (beneficial but not essential)

• Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience
• Holiday Package: 25 days + 8BH , birthday off, and office closure between Christmas and New Year
• 1 charity day off per year
