About the Role
This position involves leading a variety of audit engagements across multiple sectors, managing and mentoring team members, and contributing to the firm's growth and development. The role suits someone who values collaboration, continuous improvement, and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Client Portfolio

• Manage audits for clients across manufacturing, property, technology, and retail
• Work with entities typically up to £50-60 million in turnover but can be higher
• Experience with charities and regulated sectors (e.g., legal) is beneficial
• Option for occasional travel to unique international locations!

Team & Structure

• Join a well-balanced audit team of over 65 professionals
• Clear management structure with defined responsibilities
• Typically oversee 2-4 direct reports, providing coaching and mentoring
• Promotions are merit-based, with promotion cycles twice a year

Business Development

• Support senior leaders in networking and attending events
• Help build relationships and identify opportunities

Technical & Operational Excellence

• Lead audits from planning through to completion
• Review complex files including group audits, IFRS, and restructuring scenarios
• Promote efficiency through process improvements and technology adoption
• Ensure audit files meet high internal and external quality standards

What We're Looking For

• ACA ICAEW, ACCA, CA ICAS qualified (or equivalent)
• Significant experience in audit within a UK accountancy practice
• Experience auditing SMEs
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Right to work as no sponsorship can be provided
