Audit Manager - Plymouth

Sheridan Maine is looking for an experienced and motivated Audit Manager to join a respected firm in Exeter. This role offers the chance to lead audit teams, manage complex client portfolios, and drive excellence in audit delivery across diverse sectors.

You will be responsible for managing client relationships, coaching and developing your team, and ensuring compliance with auditing standards while contributing to the firm’s growth and success.

Key responsibilities as an Audit Manager:

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Supervise and mentor audit seniors and juniors.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and management letters.
• Ensure adherence to auditing standards, regulations, and firm policies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify opportunities for improving audit processes and client service.
• Assist in business development activities.
  
  

The successful Audit Manager will possess:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with substantial audit management experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and accounting principles.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and client management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
• Experience with audit software such as CaseWare or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in a UK practice.
