Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client a medium size firm based in Birmingham. This role is ideal for someone who is part-qualified (ACA/ACCA) and looking to progress their career in a supportive and client-focused environment. You will work closely with audit seniors and managers to deliver high-quality audits for a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors.

Role Requirements -

• Assist in planning, performing, and completing statutory audits for a range of clients.
• Prepare audit fieldwork, including testing and analysis of financial statements.
• Identify audit issues and recommend solutions under supervision.
• Work closely with clients, developing positive working relationships and maintaining high levels of service.
• Draft clear and concise working papers and audit reports.
• Liaise with other departments (e.g., accounts, tax) where appropriate.
• Support the audit team in meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance with professional standards and internal procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Personal Requirements -

• Part-qualified ACA or ACCA (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice, with exposure to audit assignments.
• Good understanding of compliance and regulation with specific knowledge of FRS102 and Financial Reporting Standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
