Audit Senior

A well-established, rapidly expanding top 20 UK accountancy firm is looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join its team in the Sussex office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an audit professional who wants to broaden their exposure across a varied client base and progress their career within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities of the Audit Senior include:

• Leading external audits and assurance assignments across sectors including corporate entities, charities, and independent schools.
• Preparing accounts and tax computations as part of audit assignments.
• Working on-site at client premises (locations may include Brighton, London, and surrounding areas).
• Responding to client queries and delivering excellent client service.
• Applying professional scepticism, risk-focused thinking, and strong judgement to all audit work.
• Maintaining audit quality in line with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Managing and prioritising work to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Building and maintaining effective client relationships.

The successful Audit Senior:

• Minimum of 2 years’ audit experience in a UK practice.
• Experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and CCH (desirable).
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a proactive work ethic.
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively.
