Reed Practice is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected accountancy firm with multiple offices across Hampshire. This growing practice is known for its commitment to professional development, client service, and investment in modern technology and systems.

About the Role:

As an Audit Senior, you will lead and support audit assignments across a diverse client base. This is a great opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified professional to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead audits and support audit teams, liaising with managers and senior staff.
  • Prepare audit files, undertake planning, and conduct fieldwork.
  • Supervise and support junior team members, reviewing their work and providing training.
  • Ensure audits are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
  • Prepare accounts using software such as Silverfin and IRIS.
  • Finalise accounts and check disclosures in Limited Company Accounts.
  • Prepare Corporation Tax computations, including capital allowances.
  • Attend training or study towards ACA/ACCA qualifications, depending on current status.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the team and clients.
Job Requirements:
  • AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ UK audit practice experience.
  • Accounts production experience preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with Xero, Sage, CaseWare, IRIS, or Silverfin is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel, and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A team player with leadership potential and the ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Organised, punctual, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a car is essential due to travel requirements.
