Audit Supervisor

This is an Audit role, based primarily at my client’s Watford office, reporting to an Audit Manager/principal. The position provides an exciting opportunity to lead audit assignments across a diverse client portfolio, while supporting the continued growth of the firm.

The duties will include:

• Leading audits from planning to completion under the guidance of a Manager or Principal.
• Managing on-site audit teams and reviewing work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Preparing planning documentation, completion procedures, and management letters.
• Assisting with the supervision and work-based training of junior team members and students, as required.
• Supporting Audit Managers with delegated tasks including planning, file reviews, and audit documentation.

The type of organisations the firm supports includes:

• A strong focus on mid-corporates and Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
• Larger groups, including those with overseas subsidiaries.
• UK subsidiaries of international parent companies.
• Specialist audits such as Pension Schemes, Charities and Not-for-Profit Organisations, Solicitors, and FCA regulated entities.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• ACA or ACCA qualified (essential).
• At least 2 years’ audit experience within a UK accountancy firm.
• Strong IT skills and familiarity with accounting and audit software packages.

Employment Details:

• Full-time role - Monday to Friday (2 days hybrid available)
