Technical Manager – Audit & Accounting

We’re seeking a Technical Manager to join our technical team, supporting a busy audit practice that prides itself on delivering high-quality audits and technical insights. This is a varied role offering the chance to advise on complex accounting and auditing matters, contribute to methodology development, and deliver training across the firm.

• Provide clear, practical technical advice on UK GAAP (FRS 102), IFRS, and auditing standards.
• Respond to ad-hoc technical queries and prepare guidance notes and resources.
• Support the development and review of audit methodology, recommending improvements where needed.
• Prepare and present engaging training sessions on auditing and financial reporting topics, including technical updates and hot-topic briefings.
• Assist with cold file reviews and audit/technical Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
• Research new and emerging accounting and auditing developments.

• ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS, with an excellent grasp of auditing standards.
• Experience either in a technical role or within audit, with an interest in technical and training matters.
• Exposure to AIM-listed or Public Interest Entity (PIE) clients is desirable.
• Familiarity with data analytics or audit software would be an advantage.
• Organised, proactive, and confident in dealing with complex issues.
