Are you ready to play a vital role in maintaining professional standards in legal services? We're looking for motivated, conscientious individuals to join the Authorisation team at Levels 1, 2 and 3 at a respected national regulator.

As an Authorisation Officer, you'll be at the front of regulatory decision-making, assessing applications for approval from legal professionals and firms. Whether you're just starting your regulatory journey or already have extensive experience handling complex casework, we have the right opportunity for you.

?? What You'll Do

• Level 1: Analyse and assess low-to-medium risk applications. Develop a thorough understanding of the regulatory framework, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
• Level 2: Take ownership of case-holding responsibilities, including technical decisions. You may also supervise a small team, coach colleagues, and contribute to operational delivery and process improvement.
• Level 3: Handle high-risk and complex applications, support strategic projects, deliver technical coaching and help shape policy development and stakeholder engagement.

? What We're Looking For

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply rules in a fair, balanced way
• Confidence in managing a caseload and delivering timely, high-quality decisions
• Experience (varies by level) in coaching others, report writing, and stakeholder engagement
• Excellent communication, IT proficiency and a cooperative approach to teamwork
