Are you passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and learning difficulties? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Autism Specialist Assistant to join a specialist school in Bath this April 2025. The school provides a supportive environment for students aged 5-18 with ASD and learning difficulties. In this role, you will work 1-1 with students, helping them build independence, stay focused, practice self-regulation, and support their educational and emotional needs to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities of the Autism Specialist Assistant:

• Provide 1-1 support for students with ASD and learning difficulties in Bath.
• Encourage students to stay focused, develop independence, and build confidence.
• Support emotional and social development through self-regulation strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers to create personalised learning strategies for students.
• Foster a positive learning environment in a specialist setting.
• Help students achieve their potential by working closely with staff and professionals.

Qualifications & Experience for the Autism Specialist Assistant Role:

• A passion for supporting students with ASD and learning difficulties.
• Prior experience in a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with children in an education and training setting.
