Salary: £140-£160 per day

Aspire People are currently recruiting for an Autism Specialist Teacher to work within a specialist school setting in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who has a strong understanding of autism and is passionate about creating a positive, supportive learning environment for pupils with additional needs.

You will work closely with pupils who have autism and a range of associated needs, adapting lessons and communication approaches to ensure every child can access learning and make progress.

The Role
Deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to pupils with autism and additional needs
Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning and communication needs
Support pupils with sensory needs, emotional regulation and social development
Work alongside teaching assistants and other professionals to provide consistent support
Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage their confidence and independence
Maintain a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements
QTS is essential
Previous experience working with children with autism or complex SEN
Strong understanding of autism and individualised teaching approaches
Experience working within a primary or specialist education setting
A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
Commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing
