Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: £30,000 to £34,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (42.5 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Automotive Electrical Installer to join a specialist and well-established vehicle technology business based in Poole.

The company specialises in supplying and installing high-quality technology upgrades and electrical accessories for motorhomes and campervans, helping customers enhance their vehicles with the latest in-car technology, connectivity, security and entertainment systems.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous automotive electrical or 12V installation experience who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working with a varied range of vehicle technology.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical and technology installations, upgrades and retrofits to motorhomes and campervans.

Products and systems include:

Navigation systems and multimedia head units
Speakers, subwoofers and amplifiers
Wi-Fi systems and connectivity solutions
Vehicle trackers, immobilisers and dash cameras
Reversing cameras, monitors and parking sensors
360 degree HD camera systems
TV antennas and satellite equipment
12V and 240V accessory sockets
LED lighting upgrades
Towbars and associated accessoriesYou will be trusted to complete installations to a consistently high standard, ensuring every vehicle is finished professionally and every customer receives an excellent experience.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out the installation, upgrade and retrofit of a variety of 12V automotive electrical products.
Diagnose installation issues and use your technical knowledge to identify and resolve problems.
Ensure all work is completed neatly, safely and to a high standard, paying close attention to vehicle interiors and finishes.
Welcome customers and complete vehicle check-in procedures.
Communicate professionally with customers, keeping them informed of any queries or issues.
Demonstrate newly installed products and explain their operation during customer handovers.
Complete final vehicle checks and ensure customers are happy with the finished work.

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

Previous experience in an automotive electrical, vehicle accessory fitting or 12V installation role.
Good practical knowledge and understanding of 12V electrical systems.
Experience installing automotive technology, accessories or aftermarket electrical products.
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
