Job Description - Automotive Paint Technician

We are looking for an experienced Paint Technician to join a prestigious custom vehicle specialist. Using HVLP spray guns, we would expect you to have previous experience with wet on wet techniques and low-bake ovens.

What will you be doing?

Preparing surfaces for paint application and highlighting any concerns to the preparation team.
Using “wet on wet” techniques to produce parts that meet all quality and conformity standards.
Mixing and matching paint to precise specifications, ensuring a flawless, smooth finish with no surface issues.
Applying paint using HVLP spray guns with expert precision.
Operating and maintaining low-bake ovens, ensuring they are cleaned and properly always maintained.
Identifying and correcting any defects and working with anti-static equipment to minimise inclusions on substrates.

Essential Skills & Experience:

City & Guilds Level 3 or IMI qualification in automotive refinishing, or significant relevant experience in a similar environment.
Strong knowledge of paint application techniques and the ability to mix and match colours with accuracy.
Familiarity with low-bake ovens and drying techniques, as well as reading and interpreting technical instructions.
A solid understanding of health and safety processes, quality conformance, and continuous improvement.

Shift pattern: 6am-2pm and 2pm-12am (Friday off for afternoon shifts).
