Automotive Service Advisor

Aka Recruitment are proud to be working with an excellent, local client of ours to bring you this exciting Service Advisor position based in Wakefield. Working within a busy and thriving dealership, you will be joining a forward-thinking and well-established family-run business. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5:30pm, along with 1 in 2 Saturdays 8am to 12pm. You will be rewarded with a basic salary of up to £30,000, alongside a rewarding bonus structure, with further negotiation available depending on experience. Job Duties Include:

• Act as the first point of contact for customers, delivering a professional and friendly service at all times.


• Book in vehicle service, maintenance and repair appointments efficiently.


• Accurately prepare job cards and workshop instructions for the technicians.


• Keep customers updated throughout the repair process, providing clear communication on vehicle progress and costs.


• Liaise closely with the Workshop Controller and Vehicle Technicians to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales.


• Prepare accurate service estimates and explain repair recommendations to customers.


• Upsell additional products, services and manufacturer-recommended repairs where appropriate.


• Process invoices and take payments upon vehicle collection.


• Handle customer queries and resolve concerns in a professional and efficient manner.


• Maintain accurate customer records using the dealership management system.


• Ensure all administration is completed accurately and in line with company procedures.


• Deliver exceptional customer service to encourage repeat business and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor within the automotive industry.


• Excellent customer service and communication skills.


• Ability to work efficiently in a busy dealership environment.


• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.


• Experience using Kerridge, Pinnacle or other dealership management systems would be advantageous.


• Good computer literacy and administration skills.


• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.


• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.


• A positive attitude with a professional and customer-focused approach.
