Autonomous Fleet Support Operative L1

Overview

We are recruiting Autonomous Fleet Support Operatives to support the day-to-day operation of a fleet of autonomous vehicles.

This is a temporary, full-time position running until April 2027. The role is predominantly depot-based and is practical and hands-on, with responsibility for helping ensure vehicles are clean, charged, prepared and ready for operation each day.

The core duties include vehicle preparation, cleaning, charging and manoeuvring vehicles within the depot.

Duties

• Cleaning and preparing vehicles ready for use


• Moving and shunting vehicles safely around the depot


• Connecting vehicles to charging points


• Carrying out basic vehicle preparation and operational checks


• Ensuring vehicles are ready for the next shift


• Reporting any faults or issues


• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety


• Completing basic checklists and records


• Assisting with general fleet and depot duties as required

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

• Have held a full UK driving licence for more than 3 years


• Be a confident and competent driver


• Be comfortable manoeuvring vehicles within a depot environment


• Have good attention to detail


• Be reliable, punctual and safety-conscious


• Be comfortable carrying out practical, hands-on duties


• Be able to work independently and as part of a team


• Be comfortable using basic technology


• Be flexible across morning, afternoon and late shifts
