Job Role : Avaloq Tester
Work Location : Edinburgh, UK
Mode : 3 to 6 months contract

Job Description :

Responsible for all test activities throughout testing life-cycle of Avaloq solutions for key customer accounts, with specific focus on digital applications like Web-banking and Mobile-banking.
Customer facing role requiring excellent presentation and communication skills and ability to manage stress levels in demanding project contexts.

- Define Test Policy and Test Plan
- Provide effort estimations and track the test effort to ensure adequate staffing
- Monitor and control testing activities against planned budget and quality gates
- Report progress to management and client
- Manage client relationship with appropriate communication
- Manage defects and Reporting
- Design, update and execute functional and business test scenarios and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring their reusability
- Manage test environments (baseline definition and maintenance, assessment on environment readiness)

Must have:

- In-depth knowledge of Test concepts and methodology
- Experience and strong knowledge of the banking and/or finance industry or other regulatory environments
- Functional knowledge of Web and Mobile banking
- Experience with Avaloq banking system solution
- Working knowledge of MicroFocus QC/ALM, JIRA, MS Office Suite

Nice to have:

- Technical knowledge of web and mobile applications
- Experience of testing in Agile context (Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, TDD, BDD, API testing)
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent
