Aviation Finance Associate (2-5 PQE)

An opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious finance associate to join a dynamic Aviation Finance team at a leading international law firm. With a strong global platform and a reputation for excellence, the team advises clients on high-profile, cross-border transactions across a range of complex financing structures.

About the Role:
To complement a growing practice, the team is seeking a 2-5 PQE associate with strong experience in aviation finance. The ideal candidate will also have exposure to general banking and finance, real estate finance, structured and debt finance, restructuring, and Islamic finance. Familiarity with LMA documentation is essential.
The role involves advising on secured and unsecured financings, refinancings, sale and leasebacks, operating and finance lease agreements, aircraft trading, supply and maintenance contracts, private equity investments, and restructuring matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing complex cross-border transactions
• Drafting and negotiating a wide range of financing and leasing documentation
• Handling deal structuring and execution from start to finish
• Engaging directly with clients, counterparties, and other stakeholders
• Supporting partners and mentoring junior team members as needed

Requirements:

• 2-5 years' post-qualification experience at a leading firm
• Proven experience in aviation finance and general finance matters
• Confidence in managing complex transactions with minimal supervision
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client-handling skills
• Collaborative approach and commitment to excellence
