As an Aviation Security Officer at Securitas, you’ll do more than safeguard aviation assets—you’ll be a vital part of a team that keeps the skies safe and secure. Your vigilance and professionalism will help protect people, property, and cargo in one of the UK’s most dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

As an Aviation Security Officer, your mission is to provide a visible and responsive security presence, ensuring safety and security across the site. Your daily tasks will include:

• X-ray screening of cargo, baggage, and goods
• Conducting searches of people, vehicles, and aircraft
• Access control duties at secure site entry points
• Document and ID checks
• Supporting incident response and emergency services
• Escorting VIPs and high-value cargo
• Operating radios and control room systems
• Writing clear reports and logs of incidents

You’ll need to stay alert, think quickly, and maintain professionalism under pressure – whether it’s identifying suspicious items or dealing with complex security protocols.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• Experience in a similar role (armed services, civil police, or aviation industry ideal)
• Clean full UK driving licence
• Ability to pass a 5-year background check and criminal record check
• Physically fit and colour vision test passed (required for X-ray screening)
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Customer service focused, with a calm and professional attitude
• Willingness to undergo and maintain mandatory aviation training (CSO, NASP, NXCT, Firearms Recognition)
• First Aid certification (desirable)
• Manual handling training (desirable)
• Flexible approach to shifts and operational demands (desirable)
