This is a hands on opportunity suited to someone with strong aircraft electrical and avionics experience who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working within a close knit technical team. Avionics Technician Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on aircraft electrical and avionics systems. Diagnose and rectify electrical and avionics faults. Use wiring diagrams, schematics and technical information to investigate system defects. Complete component changes, testing and repairs as required. Support aircraft modifications and engineering tasks. Maintain accurate maintenance and technical documentation. Assist with operational requirements and aircraft servicing. Work effectively as part of a small and experienced engineering team. Remain flexible to support occasional work at other UK and European locations. Avionics Technician Requirements: Military aircraft technical training or an equivalent recognised aircraft engineering qualification. Previous hands on aircraft electrical or avionics maintenance experience. Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills. The ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and technical publications. Experience working on older or legacy aircraft systems would be advantageous. A practical, methodical and safety focused approach. A full driving licence. Flexibility to work away when operationally required. Willingness and ability to undertake and successfully complete the required security clearance. Avionics Technician Benefits: Attractive salary depending upon experience. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Pension scheme. Discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Aircraft specific training provided. Company provided PPE and workwear. Genuine opportunities for future development and progression. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. The team will generally not be required to work on a Friday where there are no operational requirements. This vacancy may be particularly suitable for Avionics Technicians and Engineers from the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm or Army Air Corps. Applications are also welcomed from candidates who have gained equivalent aircraft engineering training and experience within a commercial aviation or aerospace environment.
