Azure Data Engineer

As an Azure Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in managing and optimising data pipelines to support analytics projects for the not-for-profit industry. This position involves designing, developing and maintaining robust data solutions to help the organisation make informed decisions and achieve its goals.

Our client is a market leading not-for-profit business, based in Trafford. With a nationwide presence they have two opportunities as an Azure Data Engineer to join the business on an initial 12 month fixed terms contract

Description

Duties of the Azure Data Engineer:

Develop and maintain scalable Azure-based data pipelines and solutions.
Collaborate with analytics teams to gather requirements and ensure data accuracy.
Optimise data systems to improve performance and reliability.
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to resolve issues promptly.
Implement and manage data security and compliance measures.
Support the integration of new data sources into existing systems.
Provide technical documentation and guidance for data processes.
Ensure best practices are followed in data engineering and analytics.Profile

A successful Azure Data Engineer should have:

Experience with Azure data tools and services, such as Data Factory and Databricks.
Strong knowledge of SQL and data modelling concepts.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Scala.
Understanding of data security and governance principles.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.Job Offer

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000, dependent on the level of experience.
