Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Your new role

Our client is looking for a mid-level Cloud-focused Infrastructure Engineer with strong Azure skills and knowledge to join their Platform team on a permanent basis.

They're seeking someone who can embrace the cloud services currently in place after a successful migration from a predominantly on-prem environment in the last few years. Members of the team require your skills and knowledge to enhance theirs whilst you support the long-term strategic plan of cloud-based adoption as part of our clients' core infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Azure Resources: Oversee virtual machines, storage accounts, databases, and networking components.
• Develop Automation Scripts: Streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Development Teams: Ensure seamless integration of applications with the infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Address cloud and network infrastructure problems in a timely manner.
• Stay Current: Keep up with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve infrastructure and services.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven Experience: As a mid-level Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Azure services, including VMs, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, and Networking.
• Scripting and Automation: Experience with tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform.
