A rapidly growing Tech Scale-Up are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their dynamic UK Engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to support the development of robust, efficient, and secure Golang microservices. You'll play a key role in designing and architecting their systems, fostering continuous improvement, and ensuring the team's success.

Key Responsibilities:

clean, scalable server-side code while optionally contributing to full-stack development – backend development developing microservices with Go, MongoDB and BigQuery databases, as well as messaging techs such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
with GCP and AWS services and DevOps tools such as Docker & Kubernetes.
business priorities and technical debt proactively and pragmatically.
with product and engineering teams to refine development processes – working within an Agile & TDD environment.
with stakeholders to iterate on product development and ensure delivery of top-notch features.
obstacles and motivating the team to achieve efficient feature delivery.
expertise in design discussions and advocating for best development practices.
the adoption of new technologies and development patterns.

Key Requirements:

years’ experience of GoLang programming.
with monolith-to-microservices migrations.
with Docker-based microservices architecture and TDD and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
experience of Google Tech – Go, GCP, BigQuery & supporting tools.
to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues across various levels.
with large-scale production environments and DevOps + CI/CD.
for learning and thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
