Back of House Assistant – Christmas Events

£18.00 per hour | Evening & Night Shifts | December 2026

Location: Milton Keynes

OA Recruitment is looking for an experienced and reliable Back of House Assistant to support a busy events venue in Milton Keynes throughout December.

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn some extra money in the run-up to Christmas, working alongside a busy kitchen and events team.

Working Hours & Pay

£18.00 per hour
6:00pm – 2:00am
30-minute unpaid break
£135 per shift (7.5 paid hours)

Additional date: Monday 21st December – Event de-rig (hours to be confirmed).

Key Responsibilities

Overseeing the back of house kitchen area during evening events.
Liaising with chefs to ensure the smooth running of kitchen operations.
Coordinating and providing direction to the evening kitchen porters.
Ensuring kitchen areas remain clean, organised and safe.
Supporting the wider catering team during busy service periods.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
What We're Looking For

Previous experience working in a busy kitchen, catering or events environment.
Confident communicating with chefs and coordinating kitchen porters.
Organised, proactive and able to work well under pressure.
A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
Reliable and available for evening and late-night shifts.
Must be aged 18 or over.
