Job Description - Backend Developer Team Leader

Backend Team Lead – Golang (Russian Speaking) – Trading – Málaga – Up to €130,000 + Bonus + Hybrid Working

Overview:
We're supporting a major trading platform in their search for a Backend Team Lead to drive the development of internal tooling and infrastructure. The focus is on data quality and delivery at scale, across near-real-time pipelines and multiple sources. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring Golang (and/or Python) experience, strong system design skills, and a passion for scalable distributed systems. Russian language skills are essential.

Role & Responsibilities:

Lead backend development and infrastructure projects
Optimise CI/CD and internal automation tooling
Collaborate with other technical leads on platform architecture
Drive the modernisation of real-time data feeds

Essential Skills & Requirements:

Strong background in software engineering and architecture
Commercial experience with Go and/or Python
Familiarity with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud environments
CI/CD pipeline expertise
Team leadership and project delivery experience

Nice to Have:

Trading or finance experience
Experience with internal tooling or real-time data streaming

Package:

Up to €130,000 + Bonus
This is a hybrid role, 3X per week in the office based in Málaga, located in the heart of the city at the prestigious Muelle Uno port
