Back End Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid working supported)
Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE

We are looking for a Back End Engineer to play a pivotal role in building highly scalable and maintainable backend services. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Business teams, suggesting and applying the latest tools and techniques to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Build highly scalable and maintainable backend services using Python or similar frameworks.
Collaborate across functional teams including Product, Design, and Business to deliver technical solutions.
Participate in code and design reviews, pair programming, and technical presentations.
Proactively identify areas for improvement in processes and tooling within Agile workflows.
Apply best practices in object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and data structures.

Required Experience & Skills:

Strong experience building backend services in Python (any framework).
Solid understanding of databases, OO design, data structures, and SOLID principles.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and process improvement focus.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with peers and business stakeholders.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerized environments (AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform).
