Location: Aigburth, Liverpool
Pay: From £13.00 per hour (dependent on experience, with flexibility for exceptional candidates)
Hours: 30-35 hours per week initially, with opportunities for additional hours as the business grows

Alongside our established daytime bakery and café offering, we are developing an exciting new evening food concept, creating a unique opportunity for the right person to help shape the future of the business.

The Role

We're looking for a passionate Baker to join our small, collaborative team. This is a hands-on role that combines baking, food preparation, menu development, and customer-focused food production.

You will play a key role in daily bakery operations while also contributing ideas and creativity towards the development of our food offering. This is not a role where you'll simply follow instructions. We're looking for someone who enjoys learning, experimenting, and helping to build something special.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality breads and baked goods to a consistently excellent standard.


• Prepare ingredients and components for sandwiches and café service.


• Assemble and deliver products during busy lunch periods.


• Assist with food preparation for future evening service.


• Contribute ideas towards menu development and recipe improvement.


• Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.


• Manage stock, organisation, and daily kitchen preparation.


• Work collaboratively with the owner and wider team to develop new products and concepts.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Basic baking skills and previous experience within a bakery, kitchen or similar food environment.


• Passion for food and a genuine desire to learn and develop.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.


• Positive attitude and willingness to get involved in all aspects of the operation.


• Good communication skills and ability to work within a small team.


• Food Hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable

• Experience with artisan bread, bakery production or East Asian food concepts.


• Experience in menu development or recipe creation.


• Confidence working independently and taking ownership of your work.


• Creative mindset and enthusiasm for experimenting with new ideas.

Working Hours

Our current operation runs Wednesday to Sunday, with daytime shifts typically falling between:

7:00am - 4:00pm

Additional evening shifts are expected to become available as our new food concept launches, potentially increasing weekly hours and responsibilities.

Salary & Benefits
