Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven individual to join our busy team in Chief Medical Officer's Services. In this role no two days are the same, as we support many work streams of the Chief Medical Officer's portfolio. This post is an excellent opportunity for someone who would like to take the next step in their career. We actively promote development and encourage the team member to learn new skills and embrace challenges as a team.

The post holder will be required to manage their own workload with minimal supervision, have good written, verbal, communication skills and attention detail. They will also need to have good computer software skills and the ability to learn new software packages easily.

The post holder will provide administrative support to meetings, systems support to our internal appraisal and revalidation system and answer email and telephone queries from consultants and junior doctors.

Create documents, spreadsheets, and reports as required using IT systems.

Electronic data input

Maintain diaries and support the CMO Services team with arranging meetings and appointments as necessary.

The post holder will need good communication, organisation, time management and IT skills.

Person specification

Qualifications

*Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4

*Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment

Experience

*Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience

*Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook)

*Experience of using IT systems

*Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of equality and diversity

*Experience of working in a busy environment

*Experience of working in Healthcare

Additional Criteria

*Good communication / customer care skills both written and verbal demonstrating sympathy and compassion

*Good organisation skills and ability to multitask

*Ability to deal professionally with enquiries from staff and patients

*Ability to problem solve
