Banding: Band 7
Location: Windsor, Berkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £41,983 – £49,717 per annum (includes paid school holidays) + excellent benefits
Working Hours: Full-time


We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a passionate and experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join their team at Queensmead House School in Windsor. This is a unique opportunity to work in a beautiful, historic setting with views of Windsor Castle, within a school recently rated Good by Ofsted.

Key Responsibilities


Queensmead House School (QHS) is an independent specialist day school offering both primary and secondary education. Located on a historic site with a rich educational heritage, the school provides a high-quality learning environment for pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviours.


The school is part of a wider network of specialist schools and children’s homes where clinicians are integral to one of the most joined-up models in SEND. The young people supported by the client often present with a complexity of need, including developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions, and special educational needs.


As a key member of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will play a vital role in supporting both educational and residential colleagues in creating therapeutic living and learning environments. Your responsibilities will include conducting clinical assessments and developing personalised care plans tailored to each young person’s needs. You will deliver individualised therapeutic interventions and assess mental health needs, recommending appropriate strategies and support through carefully considered care planning. Building strong rapport with the young people is essential, as it enables you to provide effective counselling and meaningful feedback on their progress.

  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC

  • Be a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.
